Bela Borsodi and how it feels to be back

FINALLY reached the blog after a 2-month break. Honestly, was just really lazy+ didn't have time because of looking for a place to live and stuff.
So, forget about long introductions and let's get started. Bela Borsodi is a Vienna born photographer who lives and works in New York. He was born 1966 in Vienna and studied Fine Art and Graphic Design n Switzerland. Moved to America in 1992. Started working as a still-life photographer from the beginning of the century.

I think this series with baloons are super clever and so representative. But how are they sticked to the wall or whatever. How did he do it?

This series is amazing.

A fashion version of Esher.

Ballons again. I loove the nipples hahah. I think he communicated the idea of those celebrities and glamourous, rich people perfectly. I am particularly fascinated by that tiny coctail glass and the bag as the skirt!

'Alphabet that we see every day'

I love it I love it I love it!!! As if the hand and the towels are levitaing! Absolutely fabulous.

The composition and execution are so perfect. And the colour scheme is very pleasant.

'The foot fetish'. Was much debated by the feminist movement. Not all of them are perfectly doen but I quite like it and think of it as if it's a really gentle and truthful comparison between women's footwear and women.

Basically his work is full of assemblage, putting things together and creating a complex system of rythms and juxtapositions. It's really fashion but with that spirit of fine and graphic art, it's a study of details and accessories and finding their abilities to communicate and represent; it's colours are always pleasant.

A couple of juicy links from Etoday

Checked my email today for the sake of finding something interesting. Well, I was right.

 Inkling by Wacom
Firstly, Inkling by Wacom. A pen which allows one transfer all their ideas directly from their sketchook to their Mac. It simply remembers each step one makes and saves in the memery. Then one just connects it with USB and transfer everything to their laptop/computer! It's vector graphics and one can easily alter it in Photoshop/Illustrator, etc. Amazing, isn't it? The price is 170 euro, the price is just the same as of a tablet (they have a loot of tablets, been thinking about owing one sometimes), so I think it could be even more profitable to have the pen. At the end of the day, the ability of creating new layers with the pen is a cogent argument.

 Nike MAG 2011
Secondly, Nike MAG from the famous 'Back for the Future'. Seriously, I was blown away. They are stunning, would loooove to have one. The best thing about them is that they are being sold from 10/09/2011 to 18/09/2011 on eBay and all the money they'll receive (each pair is 3300 dollars) will go for charity (Parkinson's research)

I guess this is all for today, I'd better go and sleep. It's 1.24 a.m. now and I'm just sooo tired, soo sleepy.. Gonna write about product design tomorrow. Yay!
