St. Pancras

Today I went to get some coffee from Paul at St. Pancras on the way to uni and heard the most wonderful and touching music piece in my life, following the yesterday's passion for Isaac Shepard and Rahmaninov. I stopped for a second and regret no one was with me to hear it. It was played by a woman (guitar) and man (violin?)

Boost

What's up? Recently I've been quite happy learning Illustrator (finally) and actually working in it! I've been preparing a file for the lazer cutter for my Supergraphics project and today I brought it in alongside with the A1 size cardbord and...they are closed. So have a free day today (apparently).
I also decided to scan in my screen prints from the induction. Photoshopped them a little bit too, here they are:

These were actually made of crap paper that had been left by other students. I like the composition, it's awesome lol.

Also, here are a couple of sick posters and ads I've seen recently:

An ad of a 'BIG' oven- can fit a hippo.

This one is my favourite

Last, but not least, and actually really strong and deep, in my opinion, image. In it I see the treatment of women in the East (which is commonly not really acceptable by the rest of the world) and in the West, where it all comes to her body and, eventually sex. So, then, where are women more respected?

Helen Friel

Her work was shown to us the other week by Andrew, the illustration tutor, and guess what? Tomorrow she is coming to give a lecture at CSM! And she graduated from here in 2009. Sweet, huh? I reckon she's so excited and feels kinda awkward, cause I would if had to do that.
So, she calls herself 'Paper ingineer' and I even know why. He work is 99 per cent paper, and, I need to say, she's pretty good at it. I just wonder how she cuts all the shapes so perfectly. mmm...laser?
